Biography

Henry M. Sisya is a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). He founded Kingfisher Insurance Brokers & Consultants Limited in 1998, initially focused on providing insurance services for assets purchased under lease or hire purchase arrangements.

Under Henry's leadership, Kingfisher has grown from a staff of 4 and a portfolio of MK 500,000 in 1998 to become one of Malawi's most respected independent brokers, with an annual premium turnover in excess of MK 6 billion. The firm now operates from three branches in Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu.

Henry has over 30 years' experience as a corporate broker, with a long and successful relationship with major Malawian organisations including Eastern Produce Malawi, Illovo Sugar Malawi, National Bank, Global Tea & Commodities, FDH Bank, and Press Corporation Limited. He has extensive knowledge of both local and international insurance markets, including Lloyd's of London.

Biography

Lawrence A. Sapanga brings over 30 years of industry experience to Kingfisher, including senior managerial positions at Clarkson Notcutt Malawi Limited (Insurance Brokers) and Aon Malawi Limited, now known as Minet Malawi.

Lawrence attended several advanced insurance courses including Reinsurance and Risk Management at the Chartered Insurance Institute College in Kent, England, as well as professional development courses at the Malawi Institute of Management.

His roles at Kingfisher include consulting on underwriting, technical and training management, as well as broking. Lawrence's breadth of experience across broking, underwriting, and risk management disciplines makes him an invaluable resource for clients dealing with complex or large-scale risks.

Biography

Frank Mwagomba is an experienced insurance professional with 10 years of experience as an insurance broker. He is responsible for assessing clients' uninsured risks and proposing risk solutions to ensure covers remain comprehensive and cutting edge.

Frank holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK, and is currently studying towards the Advanced Diploma in Insurance, with one unit remaining to qualify for the Associate membership (ACII). He is a graduate of the University of Malawi, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc Commerce).

In his role as Head of Operations and Business Development, Frank oversees the operational efficiency of Kingfisher's service delivery and drives the growth of the firm's client portfolio.

Biography

Chimwemwe Julius is an ACCA Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree (majoring in Economics, with a bias in Accounting and Computing) from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College.

She brings over 20 years of experience in senior management positions to Kingfisher, including serving as Chief Accountant at National Bus Company and Continental Outdoor Limited, and as Operations Control Manager at Central East African Railways.

In her role as Finance and Administration Manager, Chimwemwe oversees all financial management, reporting, and administrative functions of the firm, ensuring Kingfisher maintains the financial controls and operational standards expected of a Reserve Bank of Malawi accredited brokerage.

Tamanyana Chirambo is a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship and an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (ABE, UK), and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Greater Manchester.

With over 13 years of experience, Tamanyana is responsible for servicing selected corporate accounts, providing clients with the high-level expertise and personal attention that defines Kingfisher's service proposition. Her professional qualifications and academic background ensure clients receive advice that is technically sound and commercially astute.

Tamika Dzoole-Mwale is a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology (Distinction) from Rhodes University, South Africa, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of London.

With over 7 years of experience, Tamika is responsible for servicing selected corporate accounts. Her scientific background and insurance qualifications give her a unique edge in assessing complex technical risks, particularly for clients in healthcare, research, manufacturing, and NGO sectors.

Maniford Kumposha leads Kingfisher's Employee Benefits division, specialising in life insurance, medical insurance, credit life insurance, and pensions administration. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Sciences Education, majoring in Statistics and Computing, and is currently pursuing both a Diploma in Financial Planning and an MSc in Biostatistics.

With over 5 years of experience, Maniford has helped a wide range of organisations and individuals navigate the complex world of pensions, retirement planning, and group life assurance. His quantitative background gives him a particular strength in actuarial analysis and benefit scheme design — ensuring clients receive programmes that are financially sustainable and properly structured.

Mercy Ngoma brings over 15 years of experience to her role as Client Advocate at Kingfisher. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Malawi – The Polytechnic, and a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK.

In her role, Mercy serves as a dedicated advocate for selected corporate clients, ensuring their interests are represented at every stage of the insurance cycle — from initial placement through policy management to claims resolution. Her extensive experience and deep client relationships make her one of Kingfisher's most trusted client-facing professionals.

Brian Kalinde is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) with over 7 years of progressive experience in insurance, client relations, and claims management. He is adept at business development, underwriting, and strategic claims handling.

As Manager of Claims and Recoveries, Brian leads Kingfisher's in-house claims team, overseeing the efficient negotiation, collection, and settlement of all agreed claims. His team has achieved outstanding results for major clients including Eastern Produce Malawi (EPM), FDH Financial Holdings, Illovo Sugar Malawi, Press Corporation Limited, United Purpose Malawi, Malawi Revenue Authority, and Malawi Electoral Commission.

Brian has a broad range of claims experience including fire, motor, and marine. His proven ability to drive customer satisfaction and retention through tailored solutions and strong claims outcomes sets him apart in the Malawi market.

Debra Ngalayawo Kayuni is Kingfisher's Human Resources and Administrative Manager, bringing over 20 years of experience to the role. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management obtained from the Malawi Institute of Management in collaboration with the Cyprus Institute of Marketing (BVI), The Global Business University.

Debra oversees all human resources functions at Kingfisher, including talent acquisition, staff development, performance management, and employment relations. Her two decades of HR experience ensure Kingfisher attracts, develops, and retains the high-calibre professionals that underpin the firm's reputation for exceptional client service.

Ted Kajombo is a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). He brings over 14 years of comprehensive experience across General Insurance, Life Insurance, Credit Life, and Medical Insurance.

Ted is highly skilled in Business Development, Underwriting, and Claims Management, with a proven track record of driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.

Steven Hauli is a Chartered Insurance Broker and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), based at Kingfisher's Lilongwe branch. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Insurance and Risk Management at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).

With over 4 years of experience, Steven is responsible for servicing selected corporate accounts and driving business development in the Central Region. His presence in Lilongwe ensures that government bodies, NGOs, and businesses in the capital have direct access to Kingfisher's full range of insurance broking services with the personal attention the firm is known for.
